Why choose Scannertainment for your new scanner?  We sell all of the most popular and reliable models of scanners on the market at very competitive pricing.  But you need more than that!  What do you want to listen to?  Police? Fire?  EMS?  Air Traffic?  Railroad?  Business Communications?  Where do you live?  What kind of systems are you going be scanning?  Most companies that you purchase a scanner from have no idea what the answers are to these questions nor do they care.  They believe in taking your money, not necessarily in making you a satisfied customer. 

The vast majority of scanners that are returned are not returned because they are defective.  They are returned because the customer can't figure out how to program them or operate them.  Or the customer purchased a scanner that wouldn't work with the system the customer wanted to listen to. 

At Scannertainment we aren't just selling you a scanner.  First we want to ensure that you get a scanner that will work with the system you want to listen to. We encourage you to contact us ahead of the purchase to discuss where you will be using the scanner and what you will be scanning so the best scanner "fit" is found for you.  Once you have chosen your scanner, we can program it for you prior to shipment to your specifications.  When it arrives, it's ready to put you into the action immediately!

Need help in learning how to control the scanner to your liking?  We are always here to help.  Not only do we want you to be so satisfied that you will come back to us for that scanner for the car or to take to sporting events, but we want to make you so happy that you tell your friends.  Scanning is fun, interesting and very entertaining, but only if it's easy.  Our job is to make it easy.

How shopping here works:

If you know what scanner you would like to purchase, you are given a choice of programming options.  You can choose to have no programming, or you can choose to have us pre-program the scanner for up to five cities or counties.  If you would like us to pre-program more than five cities or counties, you can choose as many additional cities or counties as you like at the bottom of the page. Each city or county programmed will included the Police and Fire Departments.  Note that cities that have their own police or fire departments are considered separate for the purpose of counting the number of cities or counties to be programmed.  If you have any question about programming, including what constitutes a separate city or county in your area, please call or email us so we can make sure it is clear.

Once you have purchased the scanner and programming options through our secure shopping cart system, if you have chosen programming options we will contact you within 24 hours (often the same day) using the contact information you give at the time of purchase to discuss what agencies you want programmed and to gather specific details about the programming.

Our shopping cart is provided by CartSquare and provides a Secure SSL Shopping Cart. Warranty Information: 

Scanners are warranted by Scannertainment for 14 days from date of delivery. After that, scanners are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Should you decide to return you scanner within the first 14 days, we will refund your order using our return policy described below. 

We understand that scanners can be difficult to understand and program.  If this is a concern, we strongly reccommend that you take advantage of our pre-programming services for your scanner and have the hard part done for you.  If you are not interested in this option, and you have an understanding of scanners or just want to figure it out with the user manual, feel free to order the scanner alone. If you get it home and change your mind we have an easy and simple return policy.

 You must save all the packing materials, box, literature, accessories and the like in new condition. Products not returned in new condition, with damaged parts or missing packing or any scratches, defects or smell of smoke will be subject to a 25% re-stocking fee. Scannertainment reserves the right to refuse to refund or exchange any product that does not meet these requirements.

 Keep in mind, not all items are returnable. Books and batteries are not returnable for refund. Software is not returnable once downloaded or CD case has been opened. All coax cable is not returnable. Antennas are only returnable if unopened.

Programming charges, consulting fees and other labor fees are not refundable. If you have any problems or concerns with any work performed by Scannertainment, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve the issue, however agreed upon costs for programming or other labor services are not refundable at any time.

International orders cannot be returned or refunded. Customers who order internationally will have to pay all local customs, duty, brokerage and taxes.  International customers who refuse orders will have to pay all shipping costs (for delivery and return) and all customs, duty, brokerage fees and taxes which are still required.

GRE and Uniden have parts/labor warranties on all their products. Keep your receipt should it be necessary to return the product under the warranty.
